Introducing Lisa Dew

“Teach me more about you, how you work and how you move, so that I can walk onward in your truth until everything within me brings honor to your name. With all my heart and passion I will thank you, my God! I will give glory to your name, always and forever!.”

— Psalm 86:11-12

CULTURE * COLOUR * CREATIVITY

THAT’S ME!

I was born on the mission field  in Wewak, Papua New Guinea. Growing up in PNG gave me a unique perspective on life. I was schooled at home—the jungle and surrounding villages were my playground, and the little native children my playmates.  At the age of 8 I was sent to live on the coast to attend boarding school. At 10 we returned to my parents' home country; it’s customs and way of life somewhat foreign to me. I've learned to adapt, making me resilient and open to change. I love to embrace the new and different!

Skip Forward a few years…

I married a city boy, gave birth to 3 beautiful children, then spent the last 22 years as a stay-at-home mum and home-educator. Although that didn’t leave a lot of time for my own interests, for the sake of my sanity as an extremely creative person, I found ways to express my creativity through painting, song writing, writing books, and decorating and renovating our home among other things.

Now as my children become older and less dependent, I am able to focus even more on my own interests. I want to use my creativity to serve God, help people, and encourage women to embrace who they were created to be..
